Steinbeis-Transferzentrum Digital Workspace

About us

Research and development that reaches you.

The Digital Workspace is a Steinbeis transfer center at DHBW Stuttgart Campus Horb. We translate production-engineering as well as cross-industry research and development into immersive solutions for business, public administration and education.

Transfer

From the university into your practice.

In 2020, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Tim Jansen brought immersive technologies to Campus Horb of DHBW Stuttgart; in 2021 he founded the Steinbeis Transfer Center Digital Workspace. Since then we have been translating research into solutions, developing applications for business, public administration and education that deliver real benefit.

Leadership & mission

Production engineering meets immersive technology.

Led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Tim Jansen, professor and head of the mechanical engineering (production technology) degree programme at DHBW Stuttgart Campus Horb. That combination is our difference: we build XR not as a demo, but as a tool that holds up in real processes.

As a Steinbeis transfer center, we stand for the direct path from the university into application: knowledge and technology transfer that actually reaches you.

Team

A strong network. Shared ideas. Moving results.
